NetMediaEurope expands its international portfolio with the acquisition of technology website, B!T

Establishes NetMediaEurope’s presence in Portugal and Brazil.

London, UK, 3rd September 2013 – NetMediaEurope, the leading online IT publisher has announced the acquisition of B!T, a Portuguese-language online technology news outlet focusing on the Portuguese and Brazilian markets. As well as strengthening NetMediaEurope’s position as the leading IT B2B network, it enables the company to serve the rapidly growing Portuguese-speaking Latin American market with its own local correspondents in Brazil.

This latest acquisition brings to six the number of European countries served by NetMediaEurope including UK, France, Germany, Italy, Spain and now, Portugal. This puts the company in the unique position of being the only online publisher operating such a significant European footprint.

B!T was created in 1998 by a group of journalists with the goal of creating a technology magazine accessible to all. Today and (focusing on the Portuguese and Brazilian markets, respectively) boast around 100,000 visitors, comprising business users and IT professionals. B!T covers all the key IT topics including software, hardware, big data, cloud, mobile and security business.
