NetMediaEurope surveyed 546 IT Decision Makers and Business Decision Makers across 5 countries of Europe (France, Germany, UK, Spain, Italy) to gauge the usage of mobile devices in work places. Decision makers shared their opinion on benefits, challenges and predictions.
While 81% of organizations provide their employees with smartphones, tablets or hybrids, more strikingly, the use of personal devices (BYOD) is growing at 10% every year and has almost doubled over the past 3 years. This infographic highlights the important findings from the survey.
Security issues remains the main challenge confirmed by 51% of the respondents. The benefits are real with 58% agreeing that the communications between field/office personnel has improved. Moreover 55% feel that it would increase employee productivity in the next five years.
